The Urban Pre-College Education Network
The Urban Pre-College Education Network (UPCEN) is a college preparatory program that prepares minority high school students for a successful college experience. The free workshops meet bi-monthly on Saturday morning from 11 am to 1:00 pm. The program begins in September and runs through May. Let Us Make Man
Let Us Make Man – The Gathering to Reclaim Black Manhood is a annual event which features a day filled with information session, workshop and fellowshipping within the Black Community. Male Action Coalition – MAC Mentoring Program
The Male Action Coalition mentors mentor young Black males from the ages of 10 thru 18. The objective of the program is to empower black males with a sense of consciousness, competence, and commitment toward the building and maintenance of strong families, and supportive community institutions. Spirit of the League Award
Attorney Melvyn R. Burrow was chosen as one of the award recipients for the annual “Spirit of the League” Award from The Atlanta Urban League, Inc. He received the award at the awards luncheon held on June 26, 2010 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Atrium Ballroom.
